Nokia E70

Mental note, the second plextor cdrw I dumpster'd isn't working at all. Ought to just chuck it. Here's my attempt at rebooting my phone (the e70). It's quite an interesting device, in the Confucian sense. It has great wless, great recording, great photo capability, etc.

It's just a really crappy phone itself. And it cannot text well at all. Takes 10 mins for the message to be sent.

*update*
Fixed the phone, granted I cheated and used windows but still, fixed it. What really is useful are these codes:

Nokia E70 code:
*#62209526# (displays wifi mac address)
*#2820# (displays bluetooth mac address)

firmware reset requires you do two things:
1. key in: *#0000#
2. reset the phone and hold down #, 3, and the call button.

Or you can do what I did and go to the nokia website and download the updater and have it update the delay problem away. I still don't know why the problem happened in the first place but it was definately software.

So now my phone can text well, take great video and pictures. It cannot record just sound (the video sound is a seperate bit rate(!?)) and using it as a phone is a pain in the arse.

I worry that our communications infrastructure is built by the most socially inept, awkward, and incapable people of our society.
